JMIS Diwali Mela: A Sparkling show of Euphoria

Once again, JM International School fraternity buzzed with the spirit of festivities at the Diwali Mela, held in the School campus on Saturday, 15 October 2022;. One of the most happening Diwali Mela brought together a colourful mix of games, festival, shopping stalls & food stalls. The school invited students and their families to visit and plunge into joyful activities in this year Diwali Mela. Stalls of Indian handicrafts, handmade lampshades, painted diyas, and hangings were set up to let people go for their festival shopping because the festival of lights remains incomplete without it. Furthermore, NGOs stalls and potter kiosks were also a great center of attraction and added enormous excitement for visitors. There were various games like Hit the Target, Ring-o- Master, Pencil Finder, Spin-o-meter, Flip the glass over bottles etc which drew tremendous fascination from students and parents along with teachers. In the run-up to the festival, the school had live music and dance performances by students to engage the crowd in pomp and show. Apart from the numerous shopping kiosks that sold a wide variety of interesting items, this Mela offered enough prospects of binging on homemade chocolates along with a variety of scrumptious snacks. Eatables of all sorts were a part of the Mela and were relished by one and all. This Diwali Mela turned out to be the perfect way to bring hearts and happiness together at one place. What better way to celebrate Diwali than to get together and light up hearts all around!

Bal Utsav Ramleela society, Dwarka organized Sampooran Baal

Ramleela in DDA Ground, Iskcon chowk, near Radisson Blu Hotel, sector 13

Dwarka. Students of J.M. International school, Dwarka participated in it on 29th September 2022. Now they are ready for Guinness world record. Ramleela is a dramatic enactment of the life of Lord Ram, ending in battle between Lord Ram and Ravan as described in the Hindu religious epic, the Ramayana. Students put their foot forward in this event and practiced day after day. Organizing Ramleela for the youngsters, J.M. International school Dwarka stood true to its name, ethics and values. Since it is easier to instill values at an early age taking up value based concepts is all the more important for primary children. Students, under the age group of 8 years were dressed up like Rama, Seeta, Dashrath, Hanuman, Jatayu, Ravana, Ram Sena, Ravan Sena etc. Parents were ecstatic. It was their wards first performance on DDA Ground stage. However, as childhood knows no norms and is free of worries, the kids were less nervous and more excited to perform their roles. When the play ended, the kids shouted in unison ‘Jai Shree Ram’ and the whole team joined them cheerfully. How could we not! All in all, it was not only an act worth praising, but also a different one with added attraction of colourful and attractive costumes. Cheers to all the young students who performed and the JMIS Team who guided them for the same.
