Students of Ankur and Pallav did Diwali pujan. It is a custom to worship Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesh together. It is well-known that Goddess Lakshmi is the Goddess of wealth and prosperity while Lord Ganesh is considered the God of intelligence. People worship these two deities together to welcome wealth along with intelligence.
Students of all grades very enthusiastically participated in various Diwali activities. They created beautiful cards, candles, lamps, diyas, rangoli, etc. Their passion and creativity showed in their craft work and was highly appreciated.To make the students understand the importance of Diwali, JMIS organized a ‘GREEN Diwali Card Making Competition’ and Toran making competition for classes 6TH and 7TH. Teachers explained the importance of Diwali, a festival that spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair.
As the Diwali week is going on the Students of our four houses, Republic, Secular, Sovereign and Democratic of JMIS participated in a Ecofriendly rangoli making competition. The creativity, happiness, teamwork and tough grind of students was quite evident in their art work. It was a great event and outcome was stupendous.
“Anti-Fire-Cracker Rally” was organized on Friday, 21st October, 2022. As a part of this Rally class IX students went out on the streets in the neighbouring community to make people aware about the importance of Green Diwali and Cracker less Diwali. The students prepared placards and banner on the theme- say no to fire crackers. Slogans on harmful effects of firecrackers were raised aloud in order to sensitize the community.
