ART FEST – ‘SMALL HANDS, BIG ART’
“Art connects what words cannot”
The aforementioned quote rightly says that art not only highlights our creative aspect, but it also expresses one’s inner feelings and desires more than words. It is also a great way of discovering one’s passions and also gives us an opportunity to find a new way to appriciate ourselves. JMIS rightly believes in this and therefore never fails to provide an opportunity to encourage the talented JMIANs in pursuing their passion related to art. An art competition – SMALL HANDS, BIG ART was organised (grades Ankur – VIII) on February 17, 2023 in the school ground.
The occasion was graced by the benign presence of Principal Dr. Amita Saxena, Mr. Raghuvir Shah, our guest of honour who is known as one of the most versatile and innovative Artist & Photographer and Mr. Sushil Kumar who is a traditional artist and belongs to a family with National Awards from Madhubani, Bihar. All of them encouraged the budding artists and boosted their morale. This fest witnessed very enthusiastic participation by all students.
Students worked on the given themes and gave vent to their imaginative streak, where they expressed their creativity and unbridled talent through vivid colours.
The fest concluded with the felicitation of the best artist and their accomplishments were showcased. The Principal congratulated the students for their out of the box creativity and efforts. The school seemed to be splashed with colours all over and the excitement carried on till the end of the day.
