Director's Message

“Imagination is more important than knowledge…”

Academic excellence with character and personality development is our ultimate goal at JMIS. Education is not just about the subjects that are learned and taught in school. Being educated is not restricted to being in school or college, achieving degrees and certificates. It is a lifelong experience that can be unbelievably exciting if one has the zeal to learn. JMIS does not accept the dogma that genius is born, instead, we develop talent by the training of the intellect inclusive of refinement of Heart, Body, and discipline of the Soul. Education is not the learning of facts but the training of the mind to think. This thirst for knowledge is not restricted to the child. It is also essential for a parent and a teacher to keep adding to their own knowledge bank and ensure that students too develop this habit of being lifelong learners.

At JMIS, a well-chalked-out academic and co-curricular programme enables the students to attain their full potential and develop sound work habits. JMIS is committed through professionally trained educators to develop young minds who are aware, sensitive, open-minded, creative, who raise questions, form independent opinions, develop an inquisitive mind, and are able to communicate what they think, with confidence. The academic development of students is centered upon highly personalized attention and close supervision. We focus on providing high importance on the role of teachers, their competencies, skills, and the ability for nurturing the students.

Rapid changes in social scenarios are drastically changing the education arena across the world. This global change requires a sense of urgency in creating a new collaborative and interdisciplinary approach to enrich our teaching-learning process. We need to prepare our students for the modern world who can become responsible and engaged members of society, resulting in sustainable growth, peace, and positive global impact.

Our school motto – “Timeless Indian Values Global Outlook” is a driving force to pitch our students, their thoughts, and creativity with their counterparts in the different time zones of the world. The students are encouraged to do online research, collaborate on joint projects, exchange visits, and learn the value of appreciation. They are groomed as conscientious social ambassadors who work on making this world a better place to live in. Our endeavour is to prepare children for life calls and for equipping them with more exceptional value and academic competencies. JMIS aspires all our students to succeed in their worlds.

I am proud of our continuous, inexhaustible zeal to provide exceptionally excellent education to our students.

Our former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam once asked, “Can we make an education system which will retain the smiles on the faces of our children throughout their education?” We are committed to meet this challenge as we sincerely believe – “Happy learners” are better learners. Believe me when I say, “Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known and discovered.”

Thus “Imagination is more important than knowledge.” For knowledge is limited to all, we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all their quest will be to know and understand. Imagination is a powerful force and has helped to generate great ideas. The human ability to imagine can propel us into action and bring about change.

My message to our deserving students, talented staff, and esteemed parents is to dedicate ourselves completely to a correct understanding of what education really means and let us all benefit from this understanding. To conclude I can say with conviction that Imagination no doubt is more important than knowledge--- knowledge is limited whereas imagination embraces the whole world. Trust more to your imagination than knowledge.
