J M International School principal Dr Amita Saxena was awarded The Shikshak Samman 2026 on September 26, 2026, at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi by honorable Education Minister Government of NCT of Delhi Shri Ashish Sood. The event was organized by the Educators Federation of India (led by President Keshav Agrawal) in collaboration with the Times of India. It served as a major educational summit and felicitation ceremony designed to honor school principals, academic leaders, and educators for exceptional institutional leadership, innovative pedagogical practices, and commitment to holistic development.

The summit hosted panel discussions focused on shaping the future landscape of Indian education, including implementation strategies for NEP 2020, integrating AI with Human Intelligence, executing education reforms, and fostering creativity.

JM International School Turns Teachers’ Day into a Celebration of Gratitude

5th September 2026, was a day of laughter, cheer, surprises and heartfelt appreciation at JM International School as students came together to celebrate Teachers’ Day with their mentors in a vibrant and joyous celebration.

Adding a unique twist to the festivities was Project Shikha, where senior students stepped into the teachers’ shoes and conducted classes. The initiative transformed classrooms into spaces of leadership and learning, giving students a first-hand experience of the responsibility, patience and empathy that teaching demands,while giving them a whole new appreciation for their teachers!

The celebrations also extended to the youngest learners through special Teachers’ Day assemblies and classroom activities. Students from Grade Ankur to II participated in a touching “Gratitude Chain” activity, writing personal messages for their teachers on heart-shaped cards and joining them together to create a colourful chain of appreciation.

With plenty of fun and frolic woven into meaningful moments, the celebration beautifully captured the essence of Teachers’ Day : celebrating those who teach, inspire and quietly shape the future, one child at a time.

PROJECT SHIKSHA

On account of Teachers’ Day, Project Shiksha was organised at JM International School, Dwarka, on 31 August 2026. The initiative provided the students of Class XII with an opportunity to step into the role of teachers and experience the teaching-learning process.

Under the project, students were allotted different classes, subjects, and topics. They prepared and conducted lessons for the students of their allotted classes with enthusiasm and confidence. The activity helped students develop communication, leadership, presentation, collaboration, and classroom-management skills.

Project Shiksha was an engaging and meaningful initiative that celebrated the spirit of Teachers’ Day by giving students a first-hand experience of the teaching profession. The activity was enjoyed by both the student-teachers and the learners and proved to be a valuable experiential learning experience.

DESCRIPTION OF EVENT-

On 2nd and 3rd August 2026,  special assembly on the theme ‘JANMASHTAMI – THE BIRTH OF LORD KRISHNA’ was conducted by the students of Grade I Marigold and III Brahmputra. The assembly was aimed at spreading the message of love, kindness and the victory of good over evil.

The programme commenced with the morning prayer, followed by an inspiring thought of the day on the divine teachings of Lord Krishna. A captivating enactment portraying the holy birth and inspiring childhood episodes of Lord Krishna were presented by the students.  The performance beautifully depicted Krishna’s playful nature, his graceful charm and his acts of bravery and intelligence. The students brought the characters to life with their expressive acting, vibrant costumes and engaging presentations. 

The assembly concluded with a lively dance performance celebrating the joy and devotion associated with Janmashtami. The presentation beautifully reflected the spirit of the festival and left a lasting impression on everyone.
