JM International School Turns Teachers’ Day into a Celebration of Gratitude

5th September 2026, was a day of laughter, cheer, surprises and heartfelt appreciation at JM International School as students came together to celebrate Teachers’ Day with their mentors in a vibrant and joyous celebration.

Adding a unique twist to the festivities was Project Shikha, where senior students stepped into the teachers’ shoes and conducted classes. The initiative transformed classrooms into spaces of leadership and learning, giving students a first-hand experience of the responsibility, patience and empathy that teaching demands,while giving them a whole new appreciation for their teachers!

The celebrations also extended to the youngest learners through special Teachers’ Day assemblies and classroom activities. Students from Grade Ankur to II participated in a touching “Gratitude Chain” activity, writing personal messages for their teachers on heart-shaped cards and joining them together to create a colourful chain of appreciation.

With plenty of fun and frolic woven into meaningful moments, the celebration beautifully captured the essence of Teachers’ Day : celebrating those who teach, inspire and quietly shape the future, one child at a time.

PROJECT SHIKSHA

On account of Teachers’ Day, Project Shiksha was organised at JM International School, Dwarka, on 31 August 2026. The initiative provided the students of Class XII with an opportunity to step into the role of teachers and experience the teaching-learning process.

Under the project, students were allotted different classes, subjects, and topics. They prepared and conducted lessons for the students of their allotted classes with enthusiasm and confidence. The activity helped students develop communication, leadership, presentation, collaboration, and classroom-management skills.

Project Shiksha was an engaging and meaningful initiative that celebrated the spirit of Teachers’ Day by giving students a first-hand experience of the teaching profession. The activity was enjoyed by both the student-teachers and the learners and proved to be a valuable experiential learning experience.
