EDUCATOR DEVELOPMENT & EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME (EDEP)

J M International School is intensely conscious of its role in grooming responsible citizens of India. As such our perspective is on finding and retaining the best possible talent from around the country to act as facilitators between the child and the world.

At JMIS, the inherent belief is that "the art of teaching is all about the art of awakening the natural curiosity of young minds."

Interactive workshops for all teachers are organized in collaboration with reputed agencies every month in the areas of emotional, social, and professional relevance.

Our faculty members are also sent regularly for workshops held outside the school. Through this, we ensure that our teachers are able to update themselves on the latest developments in their respective fields.

We also organize excursions and activity camps and out-station tours every year where our teachers get the opportunity to de-stress and rejuvenate themselves.

We believe that a school grows as a learning organization if the faculty and students are constantly learning and growing. We also firmly believe that an educational institution is only as good as its faculty! Recruiting, developing, and retaining committed and creative educators are a priority for the school.

We place great emphasis on the professional development of our staff so much so as we have embedded a professional development program for educators in the heart of our school curriculum wherein we offer pre-service and in-service training to teachers, heads of department and administrators, special educators, physical education teachers and library in-charges in addition to workshops for scholastic and non-scholastic skill enhancement in core academic teachers as well as activity teachers.

Infrastructural support is offered in the form of IT-enabled Training Suites, Conference Hall, Discussion Rooms, Video-Conferencing facilities, and a library for educators. Weekly training programs offer teachers the opportunity to upgrade and retrain. We are confident that in time JMIS will become an educational ‘hub’ for sharing good practices across schools and that will benefit students everywhere.
