Leadership Camp cum Bagless Days Report
JM International School, Dwarka
Grades VI–VIII | Dates: 19th – 21st May 2025
Theme: Project Passion.4 – Beyond the Classroom
“Not all classrooms have four walls – some are built on trust, creativity, and leadership.”
JM International School successfully hosted a vibrant and transformative Leadership Camp cum Bagless Days initiative from 19th to 21st May 2025 for students of Grades VI to VIII. The three-day programme was designed to take learning beyond textbooks and classrooms, offering students a unique platform to explore and develop leadership, collaboration, creativity, entrepreneurship, and wellness in an engaging manner and hands - on manner
The camp emphasized student-led learning, placing learners in group-based tasks that required teamwork, role distribution, problem solving, and effective communication. Students participated in a rich blend of creative, entrepreneurial, and wellness-based activities that reflected the school’s commitment to holistic education. Among the highlights were the Dance and Theatre workshops, where students worked in teams to choreograph, dance, direct, produce and act. These sessions not only fostered creativity and stage confidence but also enhanced students’ ability to collaborate and lead within a group setting.
In the Art & Craft sessions, students created art pieces and clay pottery. These hands-on activities gave students an opportunity to express themselves visually, plan as a team, and develop patience and mutual appreciation. The process emphasized that leadership also means listening, adjusting, and valuing others’ ideas.
An innovative entrepreneurial module titled “Build & Grow” introduced students to the basics of business thinking. From designing banners for imaginary start-ups to pitching creative ideas in a “Shark Tank” simulation, students explored the value of initiative, risk-taking, and strategic communication. These activities sparked their critical thinking and nurtured their confidence in presenting and defending their ideas in front of a panel.
Equally important was the Mental Wellness track, which ran throughout the camp. Through mindful posing, maze-building with straws, teamwork games like “The Cup Challenge,” and storytelling circles inspired by successful entrepreneurs, students learned the importance of focus, emotional balance, empathy, and resilience—key traits of great leaders.
Every activity concluded with teacher-facilitated reflection sessions where leadership lessons were extracted and discussed, reinforcing the key takeaways and helping students internalize their growth. The environment was joyful yet structured, playful yet purposeful—creating space for every student to shine in their own unique way.
