Child Safety Awareness Session

 

 Class Orientation Sessions were held at JM International School, Dwarka, in which  Child Safety Awareness points was also shared with parents.

The session focused on sensitising parents about child protection, emotional well-being, safe practices and creating a secure environment for children. Dr. Saxena highlighted important guidelines related to open communication and the role of parents in recognising and addressing concerns regarding the same. 

The session concluded by emphasising a strong school-parent partnership to ensure the safety, dignity and holistic development of every child.

    An Online Training Programme on “Child Safety Awareness” was organised by SPUWAC, in collaboration with the Directorate of Education and SCERT, on 1st July 2026. This was held in Adarsh Auditorium, PHQ.

     

    The programme aimed to enhance teachers’ understanding of child protection, safety measures and their role in creating a safe school environment. The sessions covered key areas such as child rights, signs of abuse and neglect, cyber safety, bullying prevention, POCSO Act, reporting mechanisms and teachers’ responsibilities in safeguarding children.

     

    Resource persons Ms. Seema Rai Chaudhary, Dr. Deepak Kumar and DCP Neha Yadav, IPS highlighted the need for early identification of vulnerable children, physical and emotional well-being, mental health support and effective communication with students and parents. Practical case studies, presentations and discussions made the sessions interactive and informative.
