"Ankawali" – Maths Week 2025

“Mathematics is the abstract key which turns the lock of the physical universe”

With an aim to honour all the mathematicians, “Ankawali” a dedicated Math week was conducted at JMIS from 22nd - 24th December, 2025. The celebration was immersive and explored Mathematics in various ways. It fostered curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity, leaving participants with a deeper understanding and appreciation for the diverse facets of mathematics.

The celebration featured a diverse range of activities tailored to the learning levels of each grade. Grade IV students began the week with a game of Maths Bingo that was followed by "Fun with Tangrams" and concluded with a session of challenging Maths Riddles. Whereas grade V kicked off with a "Geo Art Carnival," where students explored symmetry, patterns, and geometrical shapes and focused on the logic of Magic Squares, and the event wrapped up with a Quiz centered on Indian Mathematicians and popular numbers. Furthermore grade VI students created intricate Tessellations, featuring a "Maths Maze Challenge" covering topics like perimeter, area, and fractions and the final day was dedicated to solving brain teasers and puzzles during Mathematics Puzzle Day. Grade VII also enthusiastically participated in creating Created "Math Mosaic Art-wear," involving T-shirt artwork, students competed in a Pythagorean Puzzle Race, followed by a comprehensive Mathematics Quiz as well. Grade VIII week was defined by logic and speed, starting with Sudoku Puzzle Solving, followed by a Magic Sum Tournament and "Formula Quests". Grade IX Senior students participated in Sudoku Puzzle effectively followed by a specialized Quiz on the legendary mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, and the week concluded with student-led demonstrations of Mathematical Concepts.

The "Ankawali" Maths Week at JMIS, successfully transformed the perception of mathematics from a classroom subject into a vibrant, hands-on experience.

Report on Farewell of Batch 2025-26

JM International School organised a memorable farewell ceremony for the Class XII students on 27th December 2025. The programme commenced with a melodious choir performance, setting a warm and emotional tone. This was followed by the conferring of titles to the twelfth graders. A humorous enactment on the theme “Bahubali” added joy and laughter to the occasion. It was followed by a specially curated farewell video took everyone down memory lane, evoking heartfelt emotions. The celebrations reached a high point with a grand finale dance performance, showcasing students’ energy and enthusiasm. The event also included a cake-cutting ceremony, symbolising togetherness and good wishes. The programme concluded with a lively DJ dance, followed by lunch, marking a fitting and joyful send-off for the students as they step into a new phase of life.

EXCURSION REPORT

Venue: Eco Adventure Camp

Date: 6 December 2025

Grade: III and IV

Timings: 7:50 AM to 4:30 PM

The students of Grade III and IV went on an exciting excursion to the Eco Adventure Camp on 6 December 2025. The main aim of the trip was to give students a fun-filled outdoor experience while helping them learn teamwork, confidence, and appreciation for nature.

On reaching the camp, the students received a warm welcome along with a welcome snack. The instructors explained the safety rules and then the students were divided into various teams with thrilling names like Team Tiger, Team Horse, from where the students were guided through various adventure activities such as the zip line, wood bridges, balance beam, commando net, and tunnel crawl.

The camp was well managed, and teachers and instructors supervised every activity carefully. After the morning session, the children enjoyed a healthy breakfast followed by a refreshing drink and then they resumend back to the fun. Later, a delicious lunch was served, which the students thoroughly enjoyed. Post lunch, students had fun in the dance floor, where they danced to lively music. In the evening, everyone was provided with end-of-day juice, which refreshed them for the journey back.

The excursion was a perfect blend of adventure, learning, and enjoyment and created lasting memories and provided the young learners with a wonderful break from their regular routine.

Joy, laughter, music, and smiles filled the campus as JMIS celebrated Christmas with melodious carols, exciting activities, a cheerful assembly, and a special visit from Santa Claus, who delighted the students by his joyful laughter and ofcourse doled out sweets to everyone !

Class VIII A presented a special assembly on the theme Christmas – The Spirit of Love and Giving. The programme began with news headlines and a thoughtful message highlighting the values of peace, kindness, and gratitude. This was followed by an engaging Christmas quiz that added enthusiasm and joy to the gathering. A short skit beautifully conveyed the message that the true gift of Christmas lies in love, family, and compassion. A meaningful speech reminded everyone that Christmas is not just about celebrations but about sharing and caring. The assembly concluded with a Christmas pledge, encouraging students to spread joy, respect, and harmony. The programme filled the atmosphere with warmth, happiness, and the true spirit of Christmas.

The School Principal, Dr Amita Saxena was honoured with the prestigious ET TECH X Excellence Awards 2025 powered by Brainfeed magazine held in Hyderabad on 12th December 2025, for being the Best school in academics; Excellence in Innovative Teaching Practices and STEM/STEAM Implementation. The Award ceremony witnessed the participation of eminent educators from the entire country.

The Annual Principals’ Academic Conference (APAC) 2025, convened by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on 11 December 2025 at Shilpakala Vedika, Hyderabad. It provided a national platform for school leaders to reflect on emerging challenges and innovations in academic leadership, the conference focused on curriculum design and implementation aligned with the National Curriculum Framework and the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. It explored key themes such as assessment reforms, multilingual pedagogies, and quality assurance strategies aimed at improving learning outcomes, thereby strengthening the professional capacity of school principals.

REPORT: ASSEMBLY ON “JOY OF ASKING QUESTIONS”

The assembly began with the presentation of short news headlines, keeping the students informed about current events and important happenings. This was followed by the ‘Thought of the Day’, which highlighted the importance of curiosity and encouraged students to never stop asking questions in their learning journey. 

A brief introduction to the topic “Joy of Questioning” was then given, explaining how asking questions helps in developing critical thinking and deeper understanding. After this, a short skit was performed by the students, showing how a problem can be solved effectively by asking the right questions instead of remaining silent. The assembly also included a poem that beautifully expressed the happiness and excitement that come with curiosity and discovery.

Staying Safe During Rising AQI Levels

On 14th November 2025, the Habitat and Environment Club conducted an awareness talk for students of Classes III to XII on the increasing levels of AQI and the precautions to stay safe during high-pollution days. The session focused on simple and practical measures that one can follow in their daily lives.

The Club members advised students to avoid outdoor activities when pollution levels are high and to wear masks if stepping outside becomes necessary. They also discussed how following these precautions can help protect health and make daily routines safer. The students actively listened and engaged with the discussion, showing interest in understanding the importance of personal safety during periods of poor air quality.

The talk was clear, informative, and effectively helped students become more aware of the steps they can take to safeguard their health during rising AQI levels.
