“Freedom is not a gift but a responsibility, to serve and pass on to the next generations.”
Thousands laid down their lives so that our country breathes freely this day.Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav takes back the entire country to the glorious history of its people, cultural ethos, achievements and gives a glimpse of the modern nation that our country has turned into 75 years after the independence in 1947.
Taking pride in our nation’s glory and saluting the sacrifices of our ancestors, J M International School, Dwarka celebrated the Independence Day in its school premises on Saturday, 13th August 2022 in the presence of chief guest Chairman JMIS- Shree R.B. Gupta Sir, guests of honour- Mr. R K Sharma, Ms. Madhavi Shree, Directors- Mr. Yogesh Gupta and Mr. Rohit Gupta, and Principal, Dr Amita Saxena. The dignitaries hoisted the National Flag- the Tricolour, and released tricolour balloons in the presence of the entire school and went on to enjoy a colourful cultural programme put together by the students under the guidance of the teachers and the Principal.
Multiple activities were conducted throughout the week- such as essay writing, slogan writing, poster making, quizzes, poem recitations, dance and music recitals to celebrate this festival.Being an Indian is not only about saluting the sacrifices of our ancestors, it is also about bringing their vision to life- in the words of Tagore “where the mind is without fear and the head is held high”. All the students and teachers pledged to work towards achieving this vision and making it their ultimate goal. JM International has always remained enthusiastic about such significant days in history and believes in celebrating them with great patriotic fervour and passion. All the classes were a part of the Independence Day celebrations along with their class teachers and were full of patriotic ardour.
