A special school assembly was organized on 30th April 2026 on the sacred occasion of Buddha Purnima. The assembly commenced with a serene morning prayer that created a peaceful and spiritual atmosphere, invoking blessings for wisdom, harmony, and well-being of all. This was followed by the news segment, where students presented important national and international updates in a clear and confident manner.
Next, the “Thought of the Day” inspired everyone with a powerful message on truth, non-violence, and self-awareness. After this, students beautifully presented the teachings of Lord Buddha, highlighting the Four Noble Truths and the Noble Eightfold Path. They explained how Lord Buddha taught humanity to overcome suffering through right understanding, right action, and compassion towards all living beings.
A short and impactful play was staged, depicting the life journey of Prince Siddhartha—from his royal life, his encounter with reality, and his quest for enlightenment, to becoming Lord Buddha. The performance was highly appreciated for its meaningful message and expressive acting. This was followed by a soulful poem dedicated to Lord Buddha, which emphasized peace, kindness, and the importance of following the path of righteousness.
The assembly concluded with a collective pledge where all students promised to adopt the values of honesty, non-violence, compassion, and discipline in their daily lives. The entire programme was highly inspiring, educational, and left a deep impression on everyone, reminding all of us to walk on the path shown by Lord Buddha.
