“Teach One Each One” SEWA Activity

As part of the SEWA (Social Empowerment through Work and Action) initiative, students of Class XI participated in "Teach One Each One" activity from 26th May – 29th May 2026. The program aimed at educating the school's housekeeping staff on essential life skills.

The students taught the staff basic mathematics and simple calculations, along with Standard Operating Procedures related to hygiene, safety, and proper handling of cleaning materials. In addition to these practical skills, an important component of the sessions was focused on essential and respectful communication. Staff members were guided on how to communicate effectively and politely in everyday interactions — whether with students, teachers, or each other — to foster a more inclusive and respectful school environment. Emphasis was placed on active listening, using courteous language, and expressing concerns constructively.

Furthermore, a session was held on environment-friendly practices, focusing on waste segregation, plastic reduction, and water conservation. The sessions were designed to be simple, practical, and directly relevant to the staff's daily routines.

The activity promoted mutual learning and respect, empowering the support staff while encouraging students to take active roles in social responsibility.

SRIJAN 2026: Unlocking the World Beyond Books

JM International School, Dwarka organised its annual Project Expo SRIJAN on 25th July 2026 on the theme “Unlocking the World through Books.” The event celebrated reading, imagination, creativity and experiential learning by bringing stories and literary worlds alive through models, displays, enactments and interactive presentations.

Students from different classes showcased projects based on rhymes, picture books, Panchatantra tales, Amar Chitra Katha, Fairy Tales, Indian Mythology, Roald Dahl’s works, Mystery Fiction, Sherlock Holmes, Vedas, Upanishads and other literary treasures. Each exhibit reflected far more than academic learning. It showcased the students’ confidence, communication skills, teamwork, research, originality, and ability to interpret literature creatively. They did not merely narrate stories; they questioned ideas, explored characters, connected the past with the present, and invited the audience to become a part of every literary experience.

The expo showcased students’ imagination, confidence, communication skills, teamwork, and creative understanding. SRIJAN 2026 beautifully proved that books are not merely meant to be read- they are the worlds, waiting to be explored.

INDO-GLOBAL UNICONNECT EDUCATION FAIR 2026-27

CHILD SAFETY: STUDENT SENSITIZATION ACTIVITY

A comprehensive Child Safety Student Sensitization Activity titled “Your Safety, Your Security” was conducted for students of Grades VI–XII to promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive school environment. The interactive sessions focused on the core values of Respect, Responsibility, and Safety, while creating awareness about personal and digital boundaries, safe and unsafe touch, mutual consent, trusted adults, cyberbullying, and harassment. Students were sensitized to the provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, and encouraged to understand their rights and responsibilities. Through the action-oriented mantra “Recognize, Move, Report,” they learnt to identify unsafe situations, seek timely support, and report concerns to parents, teachers, school counsellors, or other trusted adults. The programme concluded with a Child Safety Pledge, reinforcing every student's commitment to building a secure, supportive, and responsible school community.

Workshop Report

Child Safety, POCSO Compliance & Prevention of Corporal Punishment

JM International School conducted a workshop on 15 July 2026 for all teaching and non-teaching staff, led by Dr. Amita Saxena, Principal, to reinforce child safety, POCSO compliance, and the prevention of corporal punishment. The session focused on strengthening staff awareness of their legal and ethical responsibilities towards ensuring a safe, secure, and child-friendly school environment.

Dr. Saxena sensitized the staff on the provisions of the POCSO Act, 2012, emphasizing professional boundaries, appropriate communication with students, identification of warning signs of abuse, confidentiality in handling disclosures, and the role of the School Child Protection Committee (SCPC). Staff members were reminded to avoid isolated one-to-one interactions with students and maintain transparency in all student engagements.

The workshop also reinforced the school’s Zero Tolerance Policy towards corporal punishment, verbal abuse, humiliation, discrimination, and emotionally threatening behaviour. Further, the session stressed the importance of vigilant supervision, monitoring of sensitive areas on campus, collaborative communication with parents, and fostering a culture where every child feels safe, respected, and confident to report concerns.

Description of Event:

The students of Class XII-B conducted the morning assembly on 13 July 2026 on the theme "Ethics in Everyday Life." The assembly began with a warm welcome, followed by the news headlines and the Thought of the Day, which encouraged everyone to practice honesty, kindness, responsibility, and integrity in their daily lives.

The highlight of the assembly was a meaningful skit that portrayed real-life situations, emphasizing the importance of making ethical choices and standing by moral values even in challenging circumstances. The performance effectively conveyed that ethical behaviour forms the foundation of a responsible and compassionate society.

The assembly concluded with an inspiring message, reminding everyone that ethics should guide our actions both inside and outside the classroom. The presentation was well-organized, engaging, and successfully reinforced the significance of ethical values in everyday life.

An Online Training Programme on “Child Safety Awareness” was organised by SPUWAC, in collaboration with the Directorate of Education and SCERT, on 1st July 2026. This was held in Adarsh Auditorium, PHQ.

The programme aimed to enhance teachers’ understanding of child protection, safety measures and their role in creating a safe school environment. The sessions covered key areas such as child rights, signs of abuse and neglect, cyber safety, bullying prevention, POCSO Act, reporting mechanisms and teachers’ responsibilities in safeguarding children.

Resource persons Ms. Seema Rai Chaudhary, Dr. Deepak Kumar and DCP Neha Yadav, IPS highlighted the need for early identification of vulnerable children, physical and emotional well-being, mental health support and effective communication with students and parents. Practical case studies, presentations and discussions made the sessions interactive and informative.
