93.5 Red FM’s “Class Lagegi” conducted at JMIS for students and parents!
‘Mental Health is vital to our overall well-being and quality of life.’ Acknowledging this substantial thought, an interactive session was conducted for students and parents at JM International School, Sec-6 Dwarka on February 16, 2024 in association with Red FM 93.5 Radio FM. The session aimed to address the increasing concerns surrounding mental health, stress, and anxiety among students and parents in a ligh-hearted manner. Drama Queen Swati, a popular RJ of 93.5 Red FM, Mr. Ashish Mehra, a skilled producer at Red FM and Ms.Praggopati, a Psychologist from AIIMS conducted this program.
A range of topics were covered in the session like- understanding of mental health, identifying signs of stress and anxiety and strategies for improving mental well-being. One of the highlights of the workshop was a meditation session, where students learned how to focus on the present moment and practice relaxation techniques to calm their minds.
Ms.Praggopati emphasized on the importance of seeking help when needed and provided information on resources and support services available both within the school
and in the community. Throughout the session, the chirpy RJ Swati Red FM, kept the participants actively engaged in discussions, asking questions, sharing their experiences, and seeking advice from the experts. School Principal, Dr. Amita Saxena addressing the audience, focused on motivating the students to maintain their optimism in the face of setbacks and urged them to work wholeheartedly and to strive for excellence in everything they do.
Overall, the session served as a catalyst, paving the way for improved mental well-being within the community. It concluded with a vote of thanks by the hosts and every participant taking a positive note about it “Nothing can dim the light that shines from within.”
